Unfortunately, our resort is unable to accommodate anyone under the age of 13. Because we are close to the water we worry about smaller children.
To accommodate local environmental concerns we cannot allow additional RVs on the property.
YES! Take advantage of our onsite Provisions Outdoor Bistro. Offering a diverse menu of delicious farm to table meals that incorporate local fresh ingredients. While you wait for your order enjoy a local craft brew, glass of wine or evening aperitif. Our outdoor bistro has an attached deck, offering comfortable seating. In the evening enjoy the fresh air & ambiance of soft lighting, tiki torches, relaxing music, & the stars above.
Our check-in is 4:00 p.m. and our check-out time is 11:00 a.m.
Yes. We require a minimum two-night stay.
We require there to be at least one registered adult of 21 years or older for reservations.
Yes. We require a 50% deposit at the time you make your reservation. This deposit is refundable less a fee of $25.00 if you cancel at least 14 days prior to your stay.
No. The tents cabins are accessible via a footpath. For those who have a hard time getting around, just let us know and we can assist you with our onsite 6 person golf cart! In an attempt to preserve nature and the natural habitat of our local wildlife, as well as to maintain a peaceful oasis for our guests we limit motor vehicle activity on the property. We ask that you please park your vehicle upfront by the office and we will assist you with your luggage and bring you to your accommodation via our six person golf cart!

Cancelations must be made 14 days prior to your arrival to be refunded your deposit, minus a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel your reservation 14 days or less prior to arrival date, you are responsible for the entire cost of your reservation. Your credit card on file will be charged in full. The cancellation fee also applies to changes in your arrival/departure date which result in a shorter stay. No refunds are provided for late arrivals or early departures.
Yes! From corporate trainings and retreats to wedding parties and long awaited reunions with family and friends, we can provide your group with a unique opportunity to book the entire Preserve at special group booking rates. Take advantage of our wide open spaces, great views and unparalleled privacy for your team building, sporting activities, meetings and group gatherings.
We periodically have promotions offering a discount. Please keep your eye out for our promo codes. We do offer discounts for our first responders and active members of the military. Please call 518-788-9191 before you book to get our promo codes to take advantage of this discount.
Free WiFi is available throughout the property. You will be provided a WiFi code upon check-in.
We do not have a pool but we do have a wood-fired sauna.
You may launch your kayak, canoe or tube from the property and wade into the waters of the Battenkill but at this time swimming within the property limits is not allowed.
You may fish in the Battenkill with the proper license. If you have interest we can also arrange fly fishing or casting lessons. Please call us at 518-788-9191 and our concierge will assist you.
Yes you may. However, we recommend that you allow us to arrange a trip with a local outfitter if you are not an experienced kayaker or canoer. You may also rent kayaks and canoes on site with us. You can add the rental at the time of your reservation or arrange the rental once you arrive.
We offer you complimentary tube use with your stay so that you can enjoy a peaceful float on the river. If you would like to tube down the river we can arrange a trip with a local outfitter.
There is no need to bring your own food or grill. Each site comes equipped with a Breeo open fire cooking pit and many also have gas grills. We also have a pavilion with many cooking options including a wood fired pizza oven! If you do not want to cook check out the Provisions Food Counter which has a varying farm to market menu.
Yes, each cabin is equipped with a refrigerator with freezer and the domes are equipped with coolers to store your food.
At the moment we are unable to accommodate your furry friends. We are looking into ways to accommodate them in the future.
The Preserve Battenkill River Glamping Resort is a non-smoking property. We ask that you keep both the property and your accommodations smoke-free. Our policy refers to cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, cannabis, and any incense. A $250 cleaning fee will be charged to your account if you smoke inside of your tent cabin.
No! New York State has restrictions with respect to offsite firewood which we are committed to enforcing in order to save our natural environment. You will receive one complimentary bundle of firewood with your stay and additional bundles are available for purchase at the Outpost Resort Store. We are happy to deliver any firewood you purchase right to your cabin or you can take a bike or enjoy the ¼ mile walk to the Outpost Resort Store where you will be able to purchase all of the essentials, as well as local produce and unique locally crafted products.
Our Provisions Outdoor Bistro will be open daily with delicious farm to table menu options. Enjoy a local craft brew, glass of wine or evening aperitif as well. Take your bike or enjoy the ¼ mile walk to the Outpost Resort Store where you will be able to purchase all of the essentials, local produce and unique locally crafted products.
The Preserve warmly welcomes all guests. However, due to the topography of the land our property and cabins do not offer ADA accessibility at this time.
We are working to ensure every guest who wishes to visit can do so regardless of their physical abilities and are actively working on providing ADA accessible cabins in the future.

To best protect our natural surroundings and serve our staying guests, our resort is not open to the public. This allows us to preserve our environment and establish a peaceful and secluded atmosphere for our guests

All of our units have doors you can lock and we do provide safes in each tent cabin for your valuables.
Our deluxe tent cabins come with their own private bathroom including luxurious rainfall style showers. For those staying in one of our other units, we have an updated bathhouse which features sinks, flushing toilets, and fully private, lockable changing rooms with a hot-water shower.
Not at this time. If you find yourself in need of fresh towels or linens, let our front desk know and they will have hospitality staff bring you what you need.
Every bed comes with fresh bedding and linens.
Whether you just want to unwind and enjoy the peace that nature has to offer or you are looking for an adventure, we have something for everyone. Onsite enjoy fishing, camp fires, grilling, our pavilion area featuring pizza ovens, food truck, putting range, yard games, tubing, or take a bicycle for a spin! Talk with our front desk concierge to plan nearby activities such as hiking, horseback riding, farm tours, biking, kayaking, canoeing, wine tasting, and so much more!
We have cleaning staff onsite, who ensure each unit is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized prior to your stay.
Yes! You will have electricity, including plug in outlets and electric lights in our deluxe tent cabins and water front cabins. The star gazing geodesic domes include solar power generators capable of charging phones, laptops and small appliances.
It is important to us that we try to limit light pollution and stay authentic to an elevated experience, so lighting at night is kept to a minimum — just enough lighting to find the bathhouse.
Staff will be onsite during the day and on a limited basis overnight. However, we are always available via our communication app or a phone call and can have someone on the Resort property within minutes of you reaching out. The Resort is secured at night by a locked gate.
Every unit has its own Breeo smokeless open fire cooking pit. We also provide communal fire pits and have gas lit fire pits under our pavilion for your enjoyment. Check out our store for s’more supplies!
The quality of coverage can vary based on your location at the Resort and service provider. We suggest checking the coverage map of your service provider. We will provide complimentary WiFi during your stay for your convenience.
Check the weather before you arrive and pack clothing accordingly. You may want to also consider bringing proper footwear for hiking or other outdoor activities you may want to try while you stay with us.
Yes! All our Cabins and the Scamp Trailers have air conditioning units for your comfort, they also have Duraflame Electric Wood Stoves for heating. Our Geodomes do not have air conditioning but do have fans.
Yes. Quiet Hours are from 10:00pm – 8:00am.
