It’s that time again. Time to change the clocks. Don’t forget March 10th we move the clocks forward an hour! Our cell phones change automatically, but don’t forget your car clock, that digital clock on your microwave & stove, your wrist watch, and any other time pieces around your home. Although it’s never fun losing an hour of sleep, enjoy that extra hour of sunlight in the evenings!

Trout Fishing Season begins April 1st! Fishing is known for being a relaxing and enjoyable activity. By spending time out on a river, lake, or coastline, you can connect with nature in a calming way. At The Preserve you’ll find a quarter mile of riverfront and great access to the Battenkill river. Freed from distractions and crowded spaces, you are free to enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors. At the end of the day retire to one of our deluxe tent cabins. These cabins are situated on the waterfront and feature full bathrooms (including rainfall style showers) a real bed, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, air conditioning & heating, and everything else you need for a wonderful fishing getaway.

The first full moon of the spring season will appear on the night of Sunday, March 24, and Monday, March 25. Specifically, March’s full Worm Moon reaches peak illumination at 3:00 A.M. ET on Monday, March 25. The Worm Moon got its name because in March the soil begins to warm and the very first signs of life begin to return as earthworms and other dirt dwelling creatures begin to emerge from their winter hibernation.

From corporate training and retreats to wedding parties and long awaited reunions with family and friends, we can provide your group with a unique opportunity to book the entire Preserve at special group booking rates. The Preserve has a total of 20 lodging units which can accommodate up to 50 people. A moderate 5.1-mile out-and-back day hike just 5 minutes down the road from The Preserve. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 3 hours to complete. Gorgeous views from the top, overlooking Cambridge Valley. Located at Battenkill State Forest, Cambridge, NY 12816.
