The Battenkill river is a beloved part of our community, and we recognize the importance of preserving it. We are proud to support organizations such as The Georgi, Battenkill Conservancy, & Trout Unlimited, who work tirelessly to maintain this natural treasure.

Here at The Preserve, we take great pride in being an eco-glamping resort. Meaning that we want you to be as close to nature as possible, while at the same time running the resort  in a way that is as sustainable as possible. Just like our name suggests, we want to preserve rather than disturb the natural environment and eco systems surrounding us.

A couple months ago we had the opportunity to partner with Trout Unlimited and the US Fish Wildlife Service as part of the Battenkill Home Rivers Initiative. Trout Unlimited stabilized an eroding portion of the Battenkill river bank, enhanced fish habitat, and planted trees and native vegetation in the riparian corridor to promote a healthy ecosystem.
